Vaisakhi Festival is celebrated as the Sikh New Year and the founding of the Khalsa Panth. As a harvest festival, Vaisakhi is celebrated with a lot of gusto with the performance of folk dance and music. The Seniors Program at ISC celebrated Vaisakhi on April 17. The senior clients in the NE prepared consecrated food at the Gurudwara to feed all the 66 seniors who attended the event. The ladies performed an energetic ‘ Gidda’, and all the guests played musical chairs. In order to show their appreciation, several clients composed a poem in praise of the ISC Seniors Program and shared it with the audience.
