Settlement ISC Citizenship & Immigration

On June 5, 2015, the Government of Canada announced that the remaining changes to strengthen Canadian citizenship would be effective on June 11, 2015. Anyone applying for Canadian citizenship on or after June 11th will need to apply using the new application form and will need to meet the new requirements for citizenship. These changes are part of Bill C-24, the Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act, which was passed as Canadian Law last year on June 19, 2014. The Act aims to ensure that applicants develop a strong sense of attachment to Canada and are prepared for life in Canada.
