This year’s Canada Day celebrates Canada’s 148th birthday. Calgary has a number of events planned throughout the city. To help people get around to the different events, the City of Calgary is providing free shuttle bus services between various sites in the downtown core, including Eau Claire, Olympic Plaza and Fort Calgary. The shuttle service will run from 11:00am – midnight.

The City of Calgary and other organizations will be hosting a number of events to celebrate this special day, including the East Village Street Fair, the Food Truck Roundup at Eau Claire, and a fireworks show at the Centre Street bridge. Parking
DowntownCPA parkades (except the Arts Common parkade) and street parking will be free on Canada day, but people are encouraged to use public transportation and other methods, such as biking or walking, to move between events.
