Winter is almost here in Calgary. For many newcomers, this may be their first experience of snow and freezing temperatures. Temperatures during the winter can reach as low as -30°C (-22°F)! Proper winter clothing will be needed to keep warm, however, not every Calgarian can afford to protect themselves and their families from the cold.
