On April 23, 2016, Immigrant Services Calgary’s Language Bank department and the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta (ATIA) conducted a free community interpreting workshop to basic interpreting skills and orientation for volunteers working with Syrian families arriving in Calgary and its surroundings. Three ATIA members shared their experience with the participants.
