Call Before You Dig

Settlement ISC Community

The weather is warming up in Calgary and people are getting ready to start some summer projects like landscaping, building a fence, or doing some gardening. Before you start, it is important to keep in mind that there could be utility lines, such as gas or electricity lines, buried just a few centimeters below the surface.

For your safety and the safety of your neighbors, you should contact Alberta One-Call before you start digging. Make a request to have the utility lines on your property marked so that you don’t accidently hit and break a line. If you do break a line, it is your responsibility to pay for the damages.
