On September 10, 2016, the Calgary Korean Health Fair 2016 took place at the Calgary Christian School. Immigrant Services Calgary, Alberta Health Services, Calgary Police Service, Pharmacy at Safeway, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, CCIS, Distress Centre, and various service providers attended the health fair.
The fair aims to educate and raise awareness of the health and social services available and promote healthy living in Calgary. Hundreds of participants received health information, and health screenings at the event, for instance, blood pressure check, blood glucose test, nutrition consultation, eye exam, and etc.
