Environment Canada issued a heat warning for Calgary and southern Alberta. It says maximum daytime highs are forecast to be around 30C until the weekend.

Environment Canada says older adults, infants and young children, people with chronic illnesses, and people who work in the heat need to be careful.
Here are the suggestions from Environment Canada:
- Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
- Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
