Daylight Saving Time (DST), or summer time ends this weekend, giving many an extra hour of sleep. Clocks will fall back one hour on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 2:00 a.m.
In Canada, DST usually has been regulated by the provincial and territorial governments. The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time is to save energy and make better use of the natural daylight. The ending of DST takes place on the first weekend of November, and it starts up again on the second weekend in March.
