Alberta’s annual influenza immunization program is underway. Flu shots are free of charge to all Albertans six months of age and older, through Alberta Health Services’ clinics, pharmacies and physicians.
It is recommended once a year for anyone older than 6 months with rare exception. To better arm yourself against influenza, it is also recommended:
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing or coughing
- Use soap and warm water, wash your hands thoroughly and often
- Stay home when sick.
