On May 28, 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced plans to remove the visa requirement for UAE citizens on June 5, 2018. UAE citizens will not need a visa for short visits to Canada (up to 6 months).
Although UAE citizens will not need to apply for a visa, like other visa-exempt travelers, they will still need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada.
