Celebrate Canada Day on July 1

This year’s Canada Day celebrates Canada’s 151st birthday. Calgary has a number of events planned across downtown, including Indigenous Showcase on Prince’s Island Park, a community music event at the Riverfront Stage, food trucks along Riverfront Avenue, a military showcase, Francophonie celebrations of food and music, a street fair in the East Village, and etc. Furthermore, the National Music Centre is free on Canada Day. At 11 pm, there will be a fireworks show near the Centre Street Bridge. You can find a list of Canada Day celebrations in Calgary on the City of Calgary’s website.

You can also join Canada’s newest Canadian at a special citizenship ceremony at the YYC Calgary International Airport Arrival terminal at 10am on July 1.
