Visiting Canada: Find out if you need to give biometrics

Starting July 31, 2018, you may need to provide your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when you apply for a visitor visa, study or work permit, or permanent residence. You can find out if you need to give biometrics by using the online tool provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
