On October 1, 2018, Alberta’s general minimum wage will be increased to $15.00 an hour. Minimum wage is the lowest amount that can be paid to an employee by law. In Alberta, employers must pay their employees at least the minimum wage. Minimum wage is the same for adults, liquor servers, adolescents, youth and disabled people.
