The Government of Alberta has a new Alberta Community Transit Fund that will be used for things such as electric buses, light rail vehicles and a new LRT station that will help make public transportation a better choice for Albertans. “Projects include the purchase of 15 new Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) and 52 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses in Calgary, as well as a dedicated bus lane on Terwillegar Drive and 28 new electric buses in Edmonton.”
This new project will help Albertans be able to get to places in a timely and cost efficient manner while also helping the environment by reducing pollution.Â
