March is Fraud Prevention Month in Canada. Newcomers and immigrants can be targets for fraud such as advertisements promising work permits or guaranteeing high-paying jobs in Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will be raising awareness of the different types of immigration fraud, how to recognize scams and fraudulent website, how to properly choose an immigration or citizenship consultant and how to report fraud.
