Mental Health Week is from May 6 – 12, 2019 this year and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is using social media to promote awareness for this campaign. This year’s campaign theme is “Get loud about what mental health really is”. This year’s theme encourages Canadians to understand the terminology and reduce the confusion and misconceptions of mental health and mental illnesses. CMHA says that confusion is often what contributes to the “stigma of mental illnesses; it divides people into those who experience mental illness and those who don’t”. CMHA has many toolkits and sharable images available here to help spread the word during CMHA Mental Health Week!
