The City of Calgary has a 3 cart system to collect garbage, recyclables as well as compost. There are three different colored bins, black bin is for garbage, blue bin is for recyclables and the green bin is for compostable items. The City of Calgary collects each bin on various days of the week depending on which community you live in.
