Immigrant Services Calgary’s Advanced Literacy & Essential Skills in the Workplace (ALES) will be hosting a free 10-week course for IT professionals looking for career advancement in Canada. Those who have worked or trained as a programmer, database analyst, data administrator or network technician may be eligible. In this course, you will receive training in oral and written communication, and critical thinking skills. You will also be linked to employers, mentorships and other ISC services. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• Programmer, Database Analyst/Administrator or Network Technician 

• Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen or Convention Refugee 

• Unemployed, Underemployed or Employed 

• Canadian Language Benchmark 7 or above
