Many people are going through financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Canada is offering different financial supports to all those in need.
The Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) has been launched in April to help you with temporary income support if you have stopped working because of COVID-19. The CERB provides $500 a week for up to 16 weeks.
Now you can read about CERB information in 10 other languages, including Arabic, Farsi, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese. Simply click here, go to “Make your selection…”, in the drop-down list, choose the language you prefer!
If you still have questions, remember to check out Canada Emergency Response Benefit: Frequently Asked Questions. This section is also available in the 10 languages specified above.
Watch this video on how to apply for CERB: A Step-by-Step Video Guide: How to apply for Canada Emergency Response Benefit (available in Arabic, Spanish and English).
* Note that you need to apply and confirm you still qualify for the benefit every four weeks, as the renewals are not automatic.
