Here’s some good news for music lovers! A new concert series called Alberta Spotlight will be launched starting June 11, 2020. The goal of this series is to connect Albertans with music during these times of physical distancing this summer.
This is a series of online concerts that you can listen to from the comfort and safety of your home. In each concert, you can listen to Alberta artists performing live from their studios or homes. This concert series will run weekly throughout the summer.
Alberta Spotlight will kick off on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 4:30 pm MT, featuring performances by four local musicians. Weekly concerts will be announced throughout the summer. Listen live by tuning into the broadcast at ckua.com.
To make Alberta Spotlight possible, the Government of Alberta is partnering up with Alberta Music, the National Music Centre, Stagehand, and CKUA, to support Albertan musicians. Many of these local musicians have lost income due to the spread of COVID-19.

In this article, “live” is an adjective. You pronounce the letter “i” in “live” as “eye”.
When we talk about music performances or news reporting, we use “live” to describe that it is an actual performance or event that is happening, not a recording or playback.
