Mini Food Bank Opens in Whitehorn Community

On June 13, a mini community outdoor food bank held its 2nd opening ceremony at 631 Whitewood Road NE Calgary (Whitehorn Community). City Councillor George Chahal and Geoff Couldrey, Chief Operating Officer of Immigrant services Calgary joined the ceremony and gave their words of congratulations.

The mini food bank is one of the initiatives started by Love with Humanity Association, a registered non-profit organization. Their projects include Coffee with Seniors, Drive with Homeless People, Informative Seminars, Mini Outdoor Food Bank, and Multicultural Outdoor Library. The founder of Love with Humanity Association Syed Hassan built the very first Multicultural Outdoor Library back in 2018 on his front lawn in Saddle Ridge.
