World Refugee Day 2020

On June 20, it is World Refugee Day. World Refugee Day honors the strength and courage of refugees and encourages public awareness and support of the refugees, people who have had to flee their home lands because of conflict or natural disaster. Due to COVID-19, there are limitations to in person events for this celebration. Instead, there will be virtual celebrations at organizations such as the UN Refugee Agency.

Celebrations include:

  • Virtual Fitness Class

    • Eg: The refugee came to Canada with optimism.
