Stampede 2020 will be different this year due to COVID-19, but the Stampede spirit will be alive as always.
The Calgary Stampede has announced a series of new Stampede experiences for this year.
Today we bring you the good news that the Stampede fireworks will be back! The Bell Fireworks Spectacular will light up the city sky at 11 p.m. on Friday, July 3 and Sunday, July 12.
This year, the fireworks will be bigger and higher than before. Anyone who can see the city skyline will be able to see the fireworks. You don’t even have to come to downtown!
Getting excited? Here’s how to enjoy the fireworks safely:
- If you drive out, find somewhere safe to pull over. Park your car away from the flow of traffic.
- Stay at least 6 feet/2 meters apart from people that are not your family at all times.
- Face masks or covering are encouraged when physical distancing is difficult to maintain.
- Tune in the live radio soundtrack broadcast on Funny 1060 AM and enjoy the show!
Note that there will be NO additional activities at Stampede Park. The entire Stampede grounds will be used for the fireworks display.
