The Government of Alberta has announced on August 4, 2020 announced that masks will be mandatory for Gr. 4-12 students and all teachers and staff when physical distancing isn’t possible. Wearing a mask will be mandatory for:
- Students in grades 4 – 12 in common areas (such as hallways or buses)
- All teachers and school staff where physical distancing cannot be maintained
To assist with these new rules, the Government of Alberta will provide:
- 2 reusable masks to every K-12 student
- 2 reusable masks to every teacher, staff & bus driver
- 1 reusable face shield for staff
- 466k litres of hand sanitizer
- 2 contactless digital thermometers per school.
