Last Thursday, we explored the importance of reading in one of our “English Learning Tips” articles. In this article, let’s take a look at this event happening in Calgary right now, which is perfect for kindling (or rekindling) your passion for reading.

Wordfest is a not-for-profit charitable arts organization that produces one of Canada’s largest international literary festivals, taking place each October in Calgary. Committed to connecting Calgarians with life-changing ideas, Wordfest also facilitates and hosts year-round events, including poetry and spoken word performances, current event panels, publishing industry workshops, art installations, and youth and multilingual programming.

This year, Wordfest is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, by presenting the world’s most exciting authors in more than 100 lively events, in theatre and now live on Imagine On Air (Wordfest’s new broadcast channel).

Like & follow Wordfest on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WordFest/ to get the latest event information, or register yourself here https://wordfest.com for September & October events. Some of these events are free to join and others are for a fee. More events are rolling out later this year in October, November and December.
