Canadians and permanent residents who wish to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada will have until 12 p.m. EST on November 3, 2020 to submit the interest to sponsor form online.

Note that the interest to sponsor form is NOT an application. To apply, you will need to be invited through random selection (ensuring equal opportunities) by IRCC.

It depends on the total number of people in your family that you will be responsible for.

Question 4: I submitted the form. What happens next?

  • Once the form is submitted successfully, you’ll see a page with a confirmation number. Write down this number and use it later to check if you’ve been invited to apply.
