Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Calgary Region offers free Peer Support services to anyone that’s looking for a connection with others by providing:
- emotional support and encouragement
- life skills, coaching in areas such as self-care and wellness
- referrals for social supports and resources
- education and awareness around mental health;
The services are currently available in-person on Wednesdays from 10 am – 2 pm. They are also offered Monday to Friday by phone (403-297-1742) or email (peer@cmha.calgary.ab.ca).
Additional measures have been implemented at CMHA Calgary’s office to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including the installation of wall dividers, floor stickers and markers to ensure social distancing, hand sanitizer, regular disinfecting, air purifiers, etc.
