The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) is offering a comprehensive selection of FREE, ONLINE workshops for Albertans. All the workshops are focused on helping Albertans who have faced the difficulties of COVID-19 (such as layoffs, forced isolation, financial, physical, and mental health stress). There are 3 sets of workshops:
- Wednesday: Chronic Stress & Painful Emotions: Self-Help ToolboxÂ
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM
- This workshop will cover:
- Physiological stress response
- The difference between acute stress and chronic stress
- Effects of chronic stress on the human body
- Thursdays: Healthy Thinking Habits: Finding a New Outlook
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM
- This workshop will cover:
- Challenge negative thinking patterns
- Develop personal coping strategies
- Regain balance and clarity in your thoughts
- Fridays: Balanced Boundaries: First Step to Self-Care
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM
- This workshop is an opportunity to take a step back from your busy schedule and reflect on your personal and professional boundaries. You will gain a new awareness of your boundaries, and learn strategies to strengthen them.
