Deadline Extended for Disability Tax Credit Application to Receive COVID One-Time Payment

The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for some Disability Tax Credit (DTC) applicants when collecting the information required.

Taking that into consideration, the Canadian Government has recently made the announcement below:

The deadline to apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) to receive the one-time payment has been extended from September 25, 2020, to December 31, 2020.

The one-time non-taxable and non-reportable payment of up to $600 will support Canadians with disabilities and help them with additional expenses incurred during the pandemic.
