The Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that French-speaking and bilingual candidates will receive additional points under the Express Entry system.
This change will help deliver on the government’s commitment to reach the target of 4.4% French-speaking immigrant admissions outside Quebec by 2023.
The Express Entry system lets us create a pool of candidates who may be eligible to immigrate to Canada permanently. The candidates are assessed, scored and ranked based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) .
