Volunteers Needed to Bring Holidays to Seniors

Lisa C. Community, COVID-19, Updates, Volunteers

The Calgary Seniors’ Resource Society has recently launched the new Holiday Helpers program!

This program aims to bring happiness, connection and holiday spirit to seniors to prevent further isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers will help with one time or short-term tasks for holidays all year long (not just Christmas and new year) in these ways:

  • helping seniors decorate their homes
  • take them shopping to buy presents
  • help senior wrap presents, etc.

This program will make a huge difference in the lives of vulnerable seniors. If you are interested in becoming a Holiday Helper Volunteer, click on the link below to apply: https://www.calgaryseniors.org/fast-track-volunteer-application
