“When I first arrived in Calgary, I felt blind and deaf. I didn’t understand anything and felt overwhelmed. Now, I can write my name and read sentences in English. Our volunteer helped us practice English at home a lot. She connects well with everyone in my family (of different ages). I’m very happy with how she is supporting my family.“
— Sharaf (Canada Connects Participant)
