Telus has a “Mobility for Good” phone plan that is meant for low-income seniors. Those who are eligible may be able to receive a cheaper plan as well as a free refurbished device.
Eligibility:
– Those who are receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement benefit (GIS)
– Those who can provide their Old Age Security statement – T4A(OAS) indicating the amount paid to you in box 21 (net supplements paid)
Program:
You may bring your own device or apply for a free refurbished device while supplies last. The plan will be $25 a month, and includes 3 GB of high-speed wireless data and unlimited Canada wide talk and text.
