Are you a newcomer to the City of Calgary? Or maybe you have already become a Canadian citizen, but you have an immigrant background? Do you want to get more involved in your communities? Do you want to learn more about municipal selections in the fall of 2021? Do you have concerns that you want heard by the City’s elected officials?
If your answer is yes, you are invited to attend the first-ever Your Voice Matters virtual event!
When
- Thursday, March 18th at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm (of your choice)
Where
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
What
- You will hear presentations from City clerks and experts
- You will participate in engaging activities designed to increase your knowledge of the 2021 Municipal Election and increase your capacity for civic engagement.
Registration is required!
- Answer a few simple questions and register for the event here: Your Voice Matters Registration Survey.
- After registration, you will receive a meeting invitation containing the link to attend the session of your choice.
Thinking that being only a Permanent Resident not yet able to vote, you cannot be engaged in civic affairs?
- No, don’t let that thought discourage you!
- There are other ways for a newcomer to participate in civic affairs! This virtual event Your Voice Matters is a perfect start!
