Alberta’s COVID-19 Vaccination Open to Teachers & Childcare Workers

The government of Alberta has planned out the provincial vaccination program and stages.
Starting May 4, all certificated teachers, child care workers and support staff can book their vaccine appointments, which will help protect schools, daycares and the health of children and youth provincewide.
  • All certificated teachers actively teaching in kindergarten to grade 12 inclusive of public, separate, francophone, charter, private/independent/ECS operators, and First Nations schools, substitute teachers, administrators and other certified teachers working in separate roles
  • Support workers include educational assistants, bus drivers, custodians and others who support schools
  • Child care workers and support staff includes all staff working in licensed child care programs such as day cares, out of school care programs, preschool programs and family day homes.
No proof of employment is required.
