Phased Approach to Ease Border Restrictions for Travellers Entering Canada

Good news! Canada has introduced a phased approach to easing border measures.
As of July 5 at 11:59 p.m. EDT,
  • fully vaccinated travellers, whether arriving by air or land, may be exempt from federal quarantine and the day 8 test requirements.
  • travellers arriving by air who are fully vaccinated may no longer need to stay at a government-authorized accommodation.
Travellers will be considered fully vaccinated if they meet specific criteria:
  • having received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine, or a combination of vaccines, accepted by the Government of Canada, at least 14 days before entry to Canada.
  • submit proof of vaccination in ArriveCAN in English or French.
All other testing and quarantine requirements remain in place for travellers who are not fully vaccinated.
