Winter has descended upon us once again. Please be reminded that Section 67 of the Street Bylaw has specified requirements for snow and ice removal.
Learn more about the Snow & Ice Removal Bylaw and failing in complying with the bylaw will results in fees and fines.
The City of Calgary encourages Calgarians to volunteer as a Snow Angel and help others remove snow and ice from their sidewalk, especially if you have a neighbor who is
- an older adult,
- a person with limited mobility, or
- anybody that could use some help
Now Snow Angels can be recognized in the following ways:
- Downloading and printing the Snow Angel certificate to give to your Snow Angel
- Calling 311 to request a certificate for your Snow Angel
- Sharing your Snow Angel story on social media using #YYCSnowAngels
If you notice a sidewalk that is not cleared within 24 hours of a snowfall ending, please note down address details and report it to the City.
