Housing and Affordability Task Force Hiring Volunteers

Lisa C. Accessibility, Community, Volunteers

The Housing and Affordability Task Force is an exciting opportunity to bring together people who build, study and have experience living in different levels of the housing continuum, and use their experience and recommendations to improve our approaches to improving housing affordability and increasing access to affordable housing.

The City of Calgary is looking for individuals who:

  • Work collaboratively in a group setting to develop recommendations and actions
  • Are passionate about topics regarding housing and housing affordability
  • Have a wide array of experiences related to housing and housing affordability

The term for task force members will be September 2022 through March 2023.

As a member of the task force, you will be providing us at the City of Calgary with valuable advice and recommendations on how to increase housing affordability and the amount of available affordable housing, measuring the effectiveness and impact of our programs and policies, and the management of our policies, programs, and affordable housing complexes. Your feedback will also be used to help inform revisions to The City’s Corporate Affordable Housing Strategy.

In the fall of 2023, following the term of the Task Force, we will report back to Council on your work and recommendations.
