On May 6 2019, the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, announced that the Canada Child Benefit will be raised again starting July 20, 2019. This means that in the 2019 – 2020 benefit year, the maximum benefit will be $6,639 per child under the age of 6 and $5,602 per child aged 6 – 17.
From April 24 – April 27th 2019, invitations to potential sponsors were sent out to submit a complete application. If you received an invitation, the deadline to submit your application is on or before June 28, 2019. Any applications received after the deadline will be returned to you and you will not receive another invitation.
